Responsibilities Peraton is in need of an accomplished underwater acoustics, machine learning, and mathematics researcher to contribute to ongoing Navy Research Laboratory (NRL) research and development of operational tools for Navy use. This project consists of the design, analysis, and implementation of algorithms for the numerical solution of the Navy Standard Parabolic Equation (NSPE) for modeling underwater acoustic pressure that are more efficient than the approach employed by the NSPE software suite that is currently in use, without loss of accuracy.
