In North America Foodservice (NAF), our mission is to be the undisputed leader in away-from-home food and we need you to lead the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) quality programs for our Pizza Business. The role spans our TNT Pizza and the Custom pizza business working with the largest quick service, convenient store, and restaurants. FSQ Product Managers in NAF interact directly with sales and the customer as a champion of customer-first product design and quality as manufactured through the product lifecycle. This role will provide you with high-level cross-functional leadership, an entrepreneurial and externally focused mindset, and will accelerate your ability to champion remarkable products and solutions. The role requires being comfortable and confident in front of sales and customers, a deep understanding of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and GMI policies and standards, and the ability to drive quality improvements. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead food safety, regulatory, and quality as designed and consumed for NAF Pizza
- Ensure food safety and quality risks are identified, controlled, and communicated
- Serve as the first FSQ point of contact for Pizza customers, sales, and business teams for product-related technical issues
- Lead product quality and safety for business projects partnering with Business, Supply Chain, and ITQ resources
- Monitor, identify, and lead quality and food safety improvement opportunities leveraging customer and consumer feedback - drive action plan alignment and execution
- Champion consumer-first product design and quality as manufactured throughout the product life cycle, inclusive of food safety and quality risk identification and mitigation, leadership of the turnover process to ensure capability to manufacture product as designed, and monitoring of in-market quality performance
- Lead quality strategies to ensure quality as consumed delivers on consumer expectations and core growth plans
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or other related degree fields + 7 years or more of related food safety or quality experiences or other related experiences
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse cross-functional teams and with external resources including suppliers and external supply chain partners
- A strong manufacturing background and a strong knowledge of Quality and Food Safety systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while navigating the cross-functional matrix or leading cross-functional projects
- Ability to experiment and make data-based recommendations leveraging risk assessment skills while developing and leading remarkable solutions with stakeholders
- Willingness to travel (about 10%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior FSQ product manager experience or experience leading quality as designed, quality as manufactured, and quality as consumed
- Understanding of quality engineering, sensory, food science, sanitation, food safety, internal FSQ policies/standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with dough products, allergen management, USDA, and gluten-free claims.
- Experience in leading strategic improvement plans

The salary range for this position is $106800.00 - $160300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
