JOB MISSION:

New Balance's finance transformation team is building a best-in-class digitally enabled, agile and integrated Finance function that drives data-driven decisions and strategic business outcomes, creating enterprise value for the long-term. We are seeking a highly motivated individual that will play a pivotal role in the finance organization by leveraging data to drive business decisions.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Design and develop dashboards to drive smarter data driven decisions. Leverage previous experience linking different data sets from multiple sources to create reporting and analytics. Use data querying tools such as Power BI to extract, analyze, and visualize data effectively. Initially, this role will work to create global gross margin and open sales order dashboards for financial planning & analysis.
  • Collaboration and communication: Work closely with our internal business partners throughout the organization to gather and analyze data, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Technical skills: Work to understand opportunities to connect and integrate data from all of NB's new systems (D365, Oracle EPM, 09, Flex PLM, Aptos) to reduce time spent on non-value add manual data aggregation work for the Finance function. Optimize SQL queries to ensure performance and adherence to data governance.
  • Process improvement: Collaborate with finance teams to propose recommendations for improvements to current methods used in collecting data, performing variance analyses, and creating reports.
  • Change management support: Communicate the results of analysis to key stakeholders and provide support during the change management process.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field
  • 3-6 years' prior experience and interest in leveraging advanced technologies (Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, SQL queries, Python) in Finance to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and enhance reporting and analytics
  • Perform complex analysis on large data sets from multiple sources and be able to interpret data along with developing visualizations
  • Knowledge and experience working in a similar role within Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, or similar Industry
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and propensity to think differently and embrace new processes and technologies
  • Experience with ERP systems such as D365 preferred, but notrequired
  • Experience with EPM systems such as Oracle EPM preferred, but notrequired

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
