We are seeking a seasoned Integration Technical Lead to oversee our integration strategies, collaborating closely with Interface Developers and EMR Project Managers to ensure seamless integrations that meet our customers' needs. As the Integration Technical Lead at CareDx, you will be instrumental in leading the integration efforts across various platforms, including EMR systems, Salesforce, and Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS). The position reports to the Lead Architect of EMR Integration.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead integration strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Mentor and guide a team of interface engineers and developers, promoting a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of integration projects from concept to deployment, including project planning, milestone tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct detailed workflow analysis with both internal and external technical and clinical teams to ensure optimal integration of clinical documentation, ordering workflows, and lab operations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including SOPs, project plans, and transition-to-support materials.
  • Provide critical support during the go-live phase, assisting with HL7 message validation and troubleshooting to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Uphold high standards of quality and continuously implement best practices in Healthcare IT across all projects.
  • Act as a key technical resource for the EMR Integration team, facilitating HL7 spec reviews, prioritization of development requests, and updates to technical documentation and systems architecture.
  • Drive ongoing improvements and innovations in HL7 and FHIR implementations, adapting to evolving customer needs and industry standards.
  • Utilize advanced SQL skills for developing key EMR metrics and enhancing data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Solicit and integrate feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to continually refine integration strategies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in interface engineering or a closely related field, with a strong background in leading integration projects in healthcare settings.
  • Expert knowledge of HL7v2, FHIR standards, and interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Epic Bridges, and others relevant to healthcare data exchange.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Comprehensive experience with major EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, etc., and a deep understanding of healthcare protocols including TCP/IP, MLLP, and Web Services.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to healthcare interfaces, such as JavaScript, Java, and others.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, capable of steering projects from inception through completion and evaluation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both clinical and technical teams to develop and refine data exchanges that support organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess clinical and business requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.
  • Self-motivated with excellent multitasking abilities and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
