Pay: $16.77/hour

Work Schedule: Full-time; M-F; 1st shift

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead, State Set-Aside Contracts, will assist the Manager by assigning employees their daily duties, overseeing their work, and assisting in the upkeep of assigned areas. Lead and train others to use various work equipment and supplies and perform specific assigned duties while ensuring contract standards are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Provide guidance to assigned employees and trainees who work within the department to meet contract requirements.
  • Ensure all Statement of Work (SOW) requirements are completed prior to the end of each shift and if supervising second shift personnel, will stay with employees until all tasks are completed.
  • Ability to work with Building Managers, Quality Control personnel, and customers in all buildings.
  • Train assigned personnel on the use of various custodial equipment and supplies; assign work to the most appropriate personnel and monitor all duty-related activities of assigned personnel.
  • Perform all necessary work duties assigned during the shift in accordance with the SOW and ensure quality procedures are adhered to.
  • Conduct a physical inventory of work supplies on a weekly basis and submit inventory to the site manager.
  • Attending training as required for job specific requirements to ensure customer satisfaction.

Education:



  • A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.


Experience:



  • At least 2 years working in the janitorial field; with at least 1 year experience as a Floor Tech; and at least 2 years Lead Janitor experience is required.

  • Must conduct self in a professional manner conducive to a productive work environment; demonstrate good judgment, responsibility, initiative, and ethical behavior.
  • Should possess effective interpersonal skills including the ability to supervise people, work cooperatively, to organize work and make good decisions.
  • The incumbent must maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the work setting.
  • The Lead must be able to work with people with disabilities and disadvantaging conditions.
  • The incumbent will report to work prepared to accomplish duties as assigned and consistently communicate areas of concern or issues in an appropriate and timely manner to the Manager for resolution.
  • Maintain open communication at all times in relationship with other supervisors, work leaders, and customers; as well as perform other duties as assigned.

  1. The Contractor shall have a comprehensive background check performed for its employees and/or it's subcontractor's employees performing housekeeping services at ACC-SCC facility, prior to placing the employee at the campus.
  2. The Contractor shall obtain a comprehensive background verification report on information contained in the past seven (7) years that includes, but not limited to the following:

    1. National Sex Offender Registry Search
    2. Felony and Misdemeanor Charges (Federal, State and Local)
    3. CP National Criminal File PLUS
    4. Statewide Criminal


  3. Contractor attests and affirms by responding to this solicitation that all Contractor's employees assigned to projects for and within ACC-SCC property have completed background checks, those backgrounds checks have been verified and reviewed by the Contractor as acceptable for work and within ACC-SCC property, and Contractor further accepts all liability for actions of Contractor employees.
