TEKsystems is looking to add an additional operations support technician (OTRC) to their Midstream OT support team. Previous experience with a NOC, with Cisco Routing and Switching, are required. Experience with Network Monitoring tools like Solar Winds and ITSM/ticking systems like ServiceNow are a plus. There is an active project transitioning the entire org to SolarWinds Orion. Staff must possess reasonable communication skills as they will work directly with non-technical business clients and field / system / network engineers. Experience with system administration is a plus. In Q1 the OTRC team has started incorporating basic system support (troubleshooting, patching). Prefer a candidate who has knowledge in both networking and server administration. The staff must be proactive, self-starting, and able to work with minimum supervision.* This team does work panama schedule. This would be 2nd shift from 10am-10pm. * Candidate will understand how to use ticketing systems, understand information displayed in red light/green light dashboards, and follow documented troubleshooting processes. Typical roles will focus heavily on tasks such as verifying power to network devices, engaging carriers for circuit support, verifying service is fully restored and escalating to higher tiers as needed. A general understanding of network topologies would be useful. Responsibilities: * Support day-to-day operations, focusing on up-time, availability and security * Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, hardware, network, and software related issues in a timely manner * Proactively initiate incident management process * Create tickets, logs and reports that document actions taken and any information collected * Perform systems administration, maintenance and support of infrastructure * Track incident management of proactive and reactive issues through the trouble ticket system * Coordinate NOC activities with field operations to diagnose and fix faults across the entire network. * Conduct preventative maintenance for all network systems and services * Monitor the network systems and applications for events and outages, create and route tickets to the appropriate engineering teams, and communicate events and outages to management * Support local field operations with maintenance activities * Work with team to maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) Nice to have: Microsoft or other server administration certification Or relevant server administrative experience (such as active directory, group policy, DNS, power shell, etc.) *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
