Certified Medical Assistant - Healient Clinic

This is a full-time day position. Monday through Friday office hours (8 hour Shifts).

Join our dynamic cardiology team in Kansas City, Missouri, as a Medical Assistant. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a leading heart health clinic, supporting cardiologists and other healthcare professionals. Our clinic is committed to providing exceptional cardiovascular care, and we need dedicated professionals who are enthusiastic about patient care and medical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists and medical staff with patient examinations and procedures in the Cardiology department.
• Record patient vital signs, medical history, and current medications in our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Prepare examination rooms by ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and equipped with necessary cardiology instruments.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as EKGs, Holter monitor setups, and blood draws.
• Support patient care by providing instructions on cardiovascular disease management, treatment plans, and medication.
• Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up tests.
• Assist with clerical tasks including patient documentation, phone inquiries, and insurance verification.

Education and Work Experience

1. Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting

2. Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current

3. Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required

4. 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
