About This Role
The Department of Political Science invites nominations and applications for one tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in water policy and governance. The candidate will contribute to the Masters in Public Administration program, teach undergraduate courses, and be expected to have an active research agenda. This position is one of several water-related thematic team hires that will join K-State. Each of these positions will hold a scholarly connection to the Kansas Water Institute and will join an interdisciplinary cohort of water-related faculty with the opportunity to collaborate on research, teaching, and engagement. The Kansas Water Institute develops and supports interdisciplinary research, teaching, and engagement on high-priority water resource problems and objectives identified through the state water plan. The Institute also facilitates effective communication between water resource professionals and helps share and apply research results. About Us Kansas State University is located in Manhattan, KS in the the Flint Hills region. KSU is a land-grant institution and classified as Carnegie R1 university. The Department of Political Science is committed to the goals of providing quality instruction for our undergraduate and graduate programs and a vibrant environment for its faculty to develop and maintain their research agendas. The Political Science department houses two graduate programs, a Masters in Public Administration, and an MA/Ph.D. in Security Studies. Faculty teach a mix of graduate and undergraduate courses and typically offer a 2-2 teaching load. Worksite Option This position is required to be performed on-site.
