SUMMARY: In support of DAWSON's Enterprise Tele-Behavioral Health Clinical Services contract with the Defense Health Agency (DHA), we are seeking qualified candidates to fill our Licensed Clinical Social Worker positions.

Part Time Salary is $36.000 - $46,000 based on interview and experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Perform brief, evidenced-based virtual individual and/or group counseling for low to moderate-acuity patients with acute mental health conditions in accordance with the military health system model of behavioral health care.
  • Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans to restore and rehabilitate patients with personal, emotional, and/or mental illnesses. Consult reference material, for example, the most current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM), to identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and develop therapeutic or treatment plans.
  • Exercise clinical judgment in licensure area and proactively supports behavioral health service line in accordance with stated policies and procedures. Demonstrate skill in written and oral communication, especially in case formulation and presentation. Demonstrate an understanding of the requirements and benefits of TRICARE and effectively communicate these to the assigned caseload. Prepare and maintain convenience files, outpatient medical records, and inpatient record documentation in accordance with service and hospital SOPs. Prepare case summaries and other correspondence in a timely and effective fashion using approved electronic medical record.
  • Recommend hospitalization as applicable or determine a service member's fitness for duty; assess and complete Active Duty Profiles, Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), Military occupation/Mental Status Evaluations (MSE), command consultations, and other administrative processes from Air Force, Army, and Navy as required and prepare reports of such evaluations according to applicable regulations.
  • Attend staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.


Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Updates patients' charts/information within 72 business hours post-appointment. Documentation for high visibility or higher acuity patient shall be updated within COB to allow shared visibility to shared providers. HCW shall follow the SOP's duty limitations, and weapons access assessments. Safety and notification is a multi-disciplinary approach using providers, provider extenders, and case management teams. This solution will focus on low to moderate-safety risk patients allowing the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) to focus on the higher needs and specialty needs of Soldiers in person. Provider schedule will follow DHA requirements based on skill type (18-001 has the specifics).

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Degree/Education: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
  • Experience: Two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Social Worker using virtual platforms to perform bio-psychosocial evaluations; develop behavioral health treatment plans; administer Active Duty Profiles; Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations; fitness for duty determinations and providing psychotherapy. Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms will be considered. The preferred candidate will have experience as a Clinical Social Worker using virtual platforms within the MHS. Virtual health experience outside the MHS is acceptable.
  • Licensure/Registration: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Clinical Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
  • Conditions of Employment: This position requires the contractor to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges. Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
