Department Summary

Personalized Healthcare Solutions (PHCS) is within the Roche Tissue Diagnostics R&D organization. PHCS Projects focus on developing diagnostic tests to select patients who respond to specific therapies developed by our pharmaceutical partners. Diagnostic testing is evolving to handle the complexities of personalized medicine. PHCS utilizes cutting edge scientific methods, instrumentation, and digital algorithms to develop the most sensitive and accurate IHC & ISH tests for patients.

This internship position is located in Tucson, on-site.

The Opportunity

• Gain knowledge & Experience with Diagnostic Assay & Biomedical Device development.

• Experimental Design & Data collection for various types of Analytical studies.

• Analysis of study results, presentation, and conclusions

• Collaborate with other functional areas of the organization.

• Introduce new methods or process improvements valuable to the organization.

Program Highlights

• Intensive 12-weeks full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

• Program start dates are in May/June (Summer).

• A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.

• Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

• Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are (Required)

Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree (enrolled student).

Required Majors: Life Science or Biomedical related.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Complements our culture and the standards that guide our daily behavior & decisions: Integrity, Courage, and Passion.

• General lab safety and experience.

• Technical presentation & writing for experimental results.

• Familiar with collaborative software such as google suite tools.

• Familiar with general statistical analyses methods.

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location ofArizona is $22.00-$35.00 hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
