The Painter is responsible for painting, plastering, and wallpapering public areas to ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment.



Responsibilities

    Maintains (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis.
  • Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
  • Clean all work areas after completing job.
  • Fill out Daily Work form.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotel rules and regulations.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year commercial painting experience required. Vinyl wall covering experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel and work with paints, plaster and other painting materials, performing inspections and making painting repairs.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail
  • Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
  • Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
  • 100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder, work in high places and confined areas.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
