About the Role: The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) advances the discovery and sharing of scientific knowledge to benefit us all. The Farese and Walther Laboratory studies the biochemistry of cellular lipid metabolism and homeostasis. We are seeking an outstanding individual with Ph.D. training in lipid analysis. The successful candidate will become part of an inclusive, interdisciplinary and diverse team that investigates mechanisms of lipid metabolism and their function in physiology and disease. Our laboratory, at HHMI and the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York City, has projects are available to understand the biochemistry and cell biology of lipid storage, as well as the physiology and pathophysiology of lipid metabolism, for instance in cancer and neurodegenerative disease. Compensation Range $70,000.00 (minimum) - $80,500.00 (midpoint) - $91,000.00 (maximum)Pay Type: AnnualHHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers.
