Buyer I Kress is looking for a full time Buyer I to join our Purchasing team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries. The Buyer I will work with the team quoting and purchasing material, services and shop related items to support the manufacturing of specialty off-highway vehicles. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers Identify and vet new and potential suppliers Process purchase orders (PO's) in a timely manner Manage the purchasing of external steel fabrications, steel cut components, outside processes, and bronze components Complete purchases for made to print items Verify purchase orders (PO's) are processed correctly and in a timely manner Follow-up with vendors Cultivate relationships Navigate within Infor ERP Support purchasing team in researching, analyzing, and forecasting buying trends Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or equivalent prior experience Minimum 2 years' buying experience Basic understanding of heavy equipment service or manufacturing Basic understanding of business-to-business commerce Prior procurement experience a plus APICS Certification a plus Infor experience a plus Must have the ability to think on your feet and pivot when needed Kress Benefits - Group Health Insurance including Prescriptions Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Vacation Paid Holidays
