Position Overview

The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) will be responsible for overseeing the security of our information systems and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities



  • Support the N16 CIO with RMF and ATO support; support to BUPERS 07. Build and lead team to support the customer.
  • Clean up existing packages and develop new ones.
  • Develop and oversee operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines of network security, based upon the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies and advise customer on Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
  • Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities to ascertain whether additional safeguards are needed. Oversee incident response and manage security incidents.
  • Provide technical direction to personnel performing IT systems analyses and IT system development tasks.
  • Assess changes in the system, its environment, and operational needs that could affect the authorization
  • Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
  • Ensure that authorization is accomplished a valid Authorization determination has been given for all authorization boundaries under your purview.
  • Develop policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, to include investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.
  • Ensure proper protection or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered within a system.
  • Coordinate and performs logical and physical systems designs for network and storage.
  • Review and prepares system documents or specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring a stable and usable system through the integration of various software and hardware platforms and components.
  • Establish and maintain development and testing environments and the configuration management process and structures.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in information security management.
  • CISSP or CISM certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NIST, RMF, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Hybrid - Millington Data Center in Tennessee.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
