We are currently recruiting for a 1st Shift QA/QC Laboratory Technician at a company located in Milwaukee.
This position is paying $23 an hour and is a temp-to-hire opportunity.
The schedule would be Monday to Friday 6:30am to 2:30pm.
The company is seeking a QA/QC Laboratory Technician to perform chemical and physical laboratory tests, providing support to R&D, Prodduction, and external partners. The role involves conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids and liquids in work-in-progress and final products.
Qualifications:
* Two-year associate degree/certificate in a scientific field, ideally chemistry, or equivalent experience.
* 2-5 years in a laboratory within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
* Strong math skills, including unit conversions and multi-step calculations.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently and in a team.
* A commitment to accuracy and quality in their work.
* A sense of urgency and responsibility in meeting deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
  • Analyze finished goods and raw materials.
  • Prepare chemical reagents.
  • Accurately input chemical and test results into a computer system.
  • Create and prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customers.
  • Verify and document specialty outbound products
  • Review and audit production activities such as filling and mixing operations.
  • Perform document checks, measurements, and weight verifications during line reviews and audits to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Manage retained samples of finished products and raw materials.
  • Write simple observation-based reports.
  • Apply knowledge of long-term stability standards (preferred but not required).
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Assist with other laboratory tasks as assigned.
