ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Possess good attendance; work every scheduled workday including weekends and overtime as required.
  • Always understand and comply with all PPE requirements, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, bills of material, and work instructions as necessary to perform each assigned task.
  • Mix and apply paint or other coatings.
  • Use a brush to coat areas as necessary.
  • Notify manager of inventory needs.
  • Paint units and/or components per the quality standards established for Kalyn Siebert trailer finishes.
  • Perform all tasks per established quality and efficiency standards.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
  • Provide training and assistance to other employees as assigned.
  • Follow action and communication protocols for nonstandard deviation in processes or materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
  • Proficient in industrial painting techniques and use of the equipment/tools required to accomplish the process.
  • Applicants must be capable of following paint mixing / application specification and recording usage for regulatory reporting purposes.
  • Proficient in basic material handling techniques.
  • Ability to receive both written and verbal assignments.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
  • Effective and willing communicator.
  • Strong team player.


  • Familiar with and able to operate various types of paint equipment, including sandblasters, paint sprayers, and compressors.
  • Possess basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Applicants must be detail oriented with a strong desire to produce a quality paint job.
  • Must have sandblasting experience or training.
  • Ability to operate sandblasting equipment.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Application of automotive primer / paint utilizing spray equipment.

Prepare surfaces for paint application by cleaning, sanding, and sandblasting.

Responsible for maintaining painting / sandblasting equipment to ensure that it is in good working order and ready for use.

Touch up defective areas of painted items.

Perform quality checks both before and after paint application.

Assist in other areas as needed to perform other duties assigned.

CANDIDATES MUST ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Can perform frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Must be able to work in a team environment to achieve production goals.

Must successfully pass a Pulmonary Function Test and drug screen before beginning position.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma, GED or similar experience.
  • Vocational school/training, a plus.
  • 2+ years industrial painting in a manufacturing work environment.
  • Possess attention to detail.
  • Bilingual communication skills, a plus (English and Spanish)


WORK ENVIRONMENT:



  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas and require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops and other mandatory safety equipment.


  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:



  • Sitting or standing as needed.


  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.


  • Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
