Job Overview

The Principal (Director Level), Strategic Talent Sourcing will lead the development and execution of innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive senior-level talent for critical leadership roles, up to and including Chiefs. This role is essential in ensuring the organization is capable of filling key positions where internal succession plans are not available. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, expert networker, and talent acquisition leader who thrives in a demanding environment and is skilled at building and leveraging relationships to deliver top-tier talent. This experience is earmarked by executive search skills that have been developed in top search firms.

What You Will Do



  • Develop and implement a strategic sourcing strategy to identify and attract top senior-level talent, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and talent acquisition priorities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-caliber candidates for roles that lack internal succession plans, utilizing innovative sourcing tools, techniques, and networks.
  • Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis to understand industry trends, talent landscapes, and emerging opportunities to attract top talent.
  • Collaborate closely with the Corporate Strategy Group (CSG), the HR Leadership Team, and to define critical future talent and create targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Build relationships with top candidates, positioning the organization as an employer of choice, and effectively communicating the value proposition of senior leadership roles.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of sourcing efforts and present insights and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Leverage sourcing platforms and AI-driven tools to optimize sourcing efficiency and candidate engagement.
  • Critical Partner and direct report to the Head of Talent and a key member of the Talent Leadership Team.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities


Skills You Will Need

Strategic Sourcing Expertise: Proven ability to develop and execute innovative strategies for identifying passive senior-level talent.

Relationship Building: Skilled at building relationships with passive candidates and senior leaders to position the organization as an employer of choice.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in sourcing tools and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, talent mapping software, and AI-driven tools.

Business Acumen: Strong understanding of organizational goals and ability to align sourcing strategies with long-term objectives.

Communication and Influence: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively.

Analytical Mindset: Experience establishing KPIs and using analytics to measure and improve sourcing effectiveness.

Innovation and Agility: Resourceful and adaptive, with a creative approach to solving sourcing challenges.

Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to work across diverse teams and build trust to drive alignment and results.

Executive Presence: Strong people skills to engage with senior leadership and manage high-impact roles professionally.

Industry Knowledge: Awareness of market trends and competitive dynamics to identify and attract top talent.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 8+ years of talent acquisition experience, with a strong focus on executive and senior-level sourcing. Search firm experience preferred.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible (hybrid) schedule based on department and company needs. The role is based in New York City at our Herald Square Headquarters.
