This opportunity is in the Account Services Department.

Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the processes between Claims, Underwriting, and our brokers. Ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Maintaining a strong network of team leaders, our department's relationship allows for cross-training opportunities and plenty of collaboration.

Role Description:

The Premium Audit Manager (internally known as "Manager, Premium Audit") will oversee day-to-day operations of the premium audit processing team, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of voluntary and physical audits. This role includes managing external audit vendors, training and developing your team of 5-6 direct reports, resolving audit-related issues, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as Premium Audit Manager will include:



  • Direct supervision of staff employees assigned to processing audits
  • Assign work to vendors and internal staff while managing vendor relationships and approving vendor payments
  • Train and develop staff on technical skills, industry rules, and audit workflows
  • Review and improve processes to enhance premium audit efficiency and compliance
  • Provide support to the Premium Audit unit, answering questions from field auditors and resolving complex audit issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters, brokers, and insured clients
  • Participate in and promote a team-oriented work environment
  • Act as a backup to the Director of Premium Audit

Education:



  • College Education Preferred


Required Qualifications:



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foster relationships with vendors and stakeholders
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Office and PowerPoint
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in premium audit or insurance, with a focus on Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Commercial Auto
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, training, or workflow management experience
  • 5+ years of large risk field audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of state manuals, ISO rules, and compliance regulations
  • Insurance Designations a plus (CPCU, APA, AINS, or others)

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
