Job Purpose The Operations Manager for Fan Blade serves as an important link between day-to-day manufacturing management, engineering, and senior management as it relates to the overall performance of the business. This role focuses on the Fan Blade value stream. - Act as the overall management authority for the day-to-day production planning, manufacturing, and shipment of each production program. (Authority to make tactical decisions across functional areas).
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the business unit.
- Develop and enhance a customer-centric culture.
- Achieve business plan financial performance in all areas of influence.
- Serve as a key link between Human Resources and production supervision in the management of safety, engineering and manufacturing staffing, staff utilization, and performance coaching.
- Lead, coach, and influence all direct and indirect employees affiliated with the business unit. This includes not only the Supervisors and Technicians but also the Manufacturing/CI Engineers.
- Responsible for staffing allocations between all production programs to maximize efficiency.
- Serve as a key link between all functions of the business as they support the manufacturing process.
- Execute planned production for current and upcoming production programs.
- Drive production organization in the execution of timely deliveries that support production program requirements.
- Assist/coordinate with other organizational functions in the identification and implementation of process improvements & cost reduction initiatives.
- Observe, support, and contribute to Company safety programs, policies, and initiatives, ensuring a culture of safe work habits is prevalent within the organization.

Supervisory Responsibility: Yes Supervisors are responsible for overseeing their work group including but not limited to: formal evaluations/performance management as set out by the organization, recruitment and developing Qualifications/Characteristics Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field, or actively pursuing a degree with a defined graduation date.
- Master's degree a plus
Knowledge:
- 5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- ERP systems/fundamentals knowledge and understanding
- A working knowledge of OSHA requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of maintenance systems and principles, including preventative maintenance
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft software (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to enable the creation of work instructions and other production documentation.
- Understand and interpret engineering drawings, with a basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Problem-solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of lean tools such as 5S, Visual Factory, and value stream mapping.

Working Conditions Office environment, duties performed indoors, moderate to quiet noise and comfortable temperatures. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition levels. Ability to work 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations require. Some may be able to do part of their work remotely. Travel may be required Physical requirements Occasionally positions self to move an office item >10 lbs. Frequently move about the production floor and office area to attend meetings or trainings Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time Frequently operates a computer, enters data into systems, verifies information, etc...
