What You'll Do:

Maintain company premises and equipment in support of an HMA (Asphalt) Plant, including, but not limited to:

• Maintain the upkeep of company facilities, repair broken equipment, inspect finished projects, and comply with state health and safety regulations.
• Perform inspections and make recommendations regarding safe and optimal performance of equipment
• Conduct basic repairs on landscaping and maintenance equipment.
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of volatile cleaning liquids and gasoline.
• Ensure that utility projects have been completed and signed off
• May perform basic landscaping duties including tree trimming, weeding, and watering of plants.
• Additional duties as assigned

Skills You'll Need:

Experience. Previous experience in construction aggregates and/or asphalt is required. Experience in the asphalt industry as an operator or maintenance role is preferred.

Flexibility. Must be able to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance. Must have the ability to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and repair in support of asphalt production, including troubleshooting problems.

Computer Skills. Must have the ability to learn and use computer systems to create a product within quality standards and produce reports.

Communication. Must have the ability to read and interpret written orders. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, leadership, dispatchers and customers to achieve a common goal.

Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.

Salary Range. The base hourly range for this role is between $21.50 - $23.50 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
