Warehouse Operations Technician I

We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Technician to join our East Bay outside production and warehouses team. This position is responsible for general day to day site operations duties in shipping, receiving and production support services and other duties as assigned.

  • Receive deliveries, complete associated documents, shipping, verify shipment details and coordinate with drivers
  • Organize paperwork for international orders including autoclave and QREC's
  • Organize and clean workspaces including dressing rooms
  • Assist ordering and inventory; Communicate to supervisor for ordering
  • Escalating defective products for immediate replacement
  • Receive, store, and distribute supplies to all departments
  • Bag items for irradiation, and complete paperwork
  • Provide inside production support including plant/pest checks
  • Send supplies inside barrier via autoclave, decon room and box chute. Supplies example: feed, bedding shipping boxes
  • Receive and dump debris
  • Receive and unload product according to handling requirements and procedure
  • Unload trucks with bedding and boxes or other supplies as needed
  • Mix chemicals
  • Support animal production work
  • Send employee food supplies
  • Assisting with packaging items
  • Inspecting the quality items for release
  • Move and organize supplies to storage areas
  • Additional duties may include loading and unloading trucks, operating forklift, and general warehouse maintenance.

Physical Requirements: Be able to stand for prolonged shift including all day, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer, utilize various tools and equipment for facilitating repairs, equipment diagnosis and health and move between various assigned site work locations. Be able to lift, bend, stoop, walk, reach and reach above head, squat, carry, pivot to complete work above including shipments and or transfers of materials including safe and compliant transport of animals.

  • Ability to lift to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Prior material handling experience in distribution preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
