Position Overview: HEICO is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant for its Flight Support Group ("FSG") in Hollywood, Florida. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the corporate accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting various financial reporting and compliance activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the books and records for multiple corporate departments, which include tasks such as month-end closing entries, account and inter-company reconciliations, cash management, variance analysis, and invoice coding.
- Coordinate and prepare detailed budgets for the mentioned corporate departments during the annual budgeting process.
- Support the preparation of financial materials for departmental Directors (e.g., IT, HR, Engineering) and accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and consistency with corporate guidelines.
- Prepare and manage allocation schedules to ensure accurate distribution to operating entities.
- Assist with preparation and support for consolidation reporting (Cognos / Planning & Analytics) and Fixed Asset Software (FAS) processes.
- Facilitate and administer components of the annual FSG budget process through hands-on preparation of schedules and data gathering.
- Perform financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for both internal reporting and external reporting requirements (including SEC reporting).
- Execute and support various FSG Finance Team projects, including corporate-level SOX control testing, ensuring compliance with A/R reserve and fixed asset policies, confirming elimination entries, participating in physical inventory counts, and assisting with subsidiary reporting support.
- Assist in the implementation and testing of a new consolidation and budgeting package (Planning & Analytics), ensuring accurate data migration and reporting setup.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA is preferred.
- Two years of public accounting experience is preferred, with progressive responsibilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SEC registrant financial reporting and technical accounting research is a plus.
