Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified National Estimator to join our National Purchasing team. The National Estimator will implement national takeoff and estimating strategies that deliver the best total value for Richmond American Homes Divisions. The National Estimator will contribute to the success of the Procurement Organization through a comprehensive understanding of takeoff and estimating principles along with sharp analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

    Accountable for all takeoffs required by our system to generate contracts
  • Work closely with Product Development, Purchasing and Options teams to assist in the new community process
  • Support National Rebate Manager with analysis and invoice processing on a quarterly basis
  • Serve as system administrator for our file sharing software used by all divisions
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as required

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field. An understanding of home building operations is preferred. An understanding of analyzing supply industries, key cost drivers and market dynamics is preferred. Experience generating takeoffs is preferred. Previous experience supporting supplier diversity efforts is preferred. MRP/ERP experience is preferred. MS Excel proficiency is required.

The candidate will possess strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive results through a nationwide structure. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership experience is required. The successful candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain strong inter-company and inter-department relationships.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
