Automation Engineer

We are currently seeking an Automation Engineer with the below qualifications:

Professional Attributes



  • Quote (concept if needed) automated systems and develop FRD's (Functional Requirement Documents) in conjunction with customer expectations.
  • Design system to address all items in FRD.
  • Select components to address all needs of the system and budget.
  • Have custom components manufactured, select vendors to do so.
  • Assure that the quality of the work is to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Recommend Preventative Measures to protect both us and our customers from defects
  • Improve current automation processes
  • Be in direct involvement with any company supplying the plant with automation.
  • Program the control system in accordance with FRD items and utilize best programming practices.
  • Runoff system to verify all FRD tasks have been addressed.
  • Update schedules as tasks are completed or their status changed.
  • Make suggestions for Equipment, Software, Training, etc.... that would make the department more efficient.
  • Responsible for Department Housekeeping, Cleanliness, and Organization as required.
  • Train Entry Level employees as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Desired Skills and Experience



  • Engineering degree preferred (BS or better) or 10+ years of experience, excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude required, Organizational Abilities, communicates effectively and demonstrate ability to work in a team to accomplish all tasks of the department. Creo Parametric Experience a plus. Ability to learn or already proficiently operate Creo software, Excel, Word, ETC.
