Manufacturing Engineer | Royal Truck Body | Carson, CA

Regular Employee | Salary Exempt | $100,000.00 - 110,000.00

What you'll do:

As the Manufacturing Engineer for Royal Truck Body (A Shyft Group Brand) based at our manufacturing facility in Carson, CA you will drive manufacturing excellence. Optimize processes, solve production challenges, and design efficient plant layouts in our dynamic manufacturing environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance quality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Plan and design efficient manufacturing plant floor layouts for optimal equipment and material flow.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles.

What you need to be successful:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related) or equivalent experience.

* 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

* Experience in low volume/high variation manufacturing environments.

* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
