Get to Know Your Team:

• BSA Health System is the fourth largest employer in Amarillo, with a medical staff of more than 400 physicians and 3,000 employees. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity.

• Performs clerical and clinical duties under the direction of a physician and or registered nurse.
• Clerical duties may include answering phones, ordering supplies and maintaining medical records.
• Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs, collecting laboratory specimens to include point-of care testing,obtaining patient medical histories, preparing patient for examination, and reviewing discharge instructionswith patients and or their driver.

Job Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent); Current or Must be attained within three (3) months of hire

• Current BLS certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous similar clinic experience
• Previous experience with EMR systems.
• One year experience in physician's practice.
