Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support our plant operations across three shifts. This hands-on role involves active engagement with plant personnel to ensure the effective execution of HR functions throughout the day and night. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in maintaining labor relations, managing onboarding, facilitating employee training, and overseeing hiring and employment processes. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique dynamics in food manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities: * Serve as the primary HR contact across all three operational shifts, working flexibly to cover a variety of schedules as needed. * Develop and implement employee onboarding, training, and development programs aligned with company goals and compliance with industry standards. * Coordinate and conduct recruitment and selection processes to attract and retain top talent, focusing particularly on skilled individuals with food manufacturing expertise. * Manage employee relations by providing guidance and support to resolve workplace issues and foster a positive work environment. * Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, advising management on labor relations issues and potential impacts. * Create and maintain bidding processes for positions within the plant, facilitating the internal job posting and selection process. * Develop and administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. * Collaborate with plant management to promote safety and compliance initiatives and address HR-related needs. * Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports related to staffing, turnover, and other HR activities. Qualifications: * Associate degree required; further education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus. * Minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a food manufacturing setting is required. * Strong knowledge of labor relations and employment regulations, with proven experience in hands-on HR roles. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multi-level relationships within a diverse workforce. * Demonstrated ability to operate flexibly in a fast-paced, shift-based production environment. * Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
