Security Support Coordinator

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

This role provides support and assistance to the Corporate Security Department in repair and maintenance of bank security related equipment. This includes providing support and training to business units as necessary and managing security equipment systems and information. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, performing a wide range of support duties for the Corporate Security Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

This position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below:

  • Provides management, tracking, and branch support for all security alarm/fire system support requests.
  • Facilitates branch support to the bank's security equipment as needed and directed by the Corporate Security Support Supervisor or business units and as necessary to respond to needs that may come through business units.
  • Monitors security related requests to ensure appropriate levels of employee security, access and video requests are maintained while sustaining adequate response time, resolution, and excellent communication with the end user. This includes tracking all security related requests from its inception to successful completion using established guidelines.
  • Provide vendor support and collaboration for technical issues beyond standard assistance provided by the Security Support team.
  • Create reports as requested for the Corporate Security Operations Manager or Support Supervisor including access audits.
  • Assists with other security and fire tasks as necessary at the request of the Corporate Security Operations Manager.
  • Respond and follow up on incoming security support requests to meet departmental SLAs.
  • Coordinate installation and service dates with vendor and the branches or site managers.
  • Assist in alarm and access system user management.
  • Provide vendor support when necessary and manage security vendor meets.
  • Stage and submit invoices in a timely manner determined by the Corporate Security Operations Manager.
  • Notify branches of weekly project schedule for determined territory.
  • Provide assistance to Corporate Security Department as determined by Corporate Security Operations Manager or Security Support Supervisor.

COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient with general office machines and programs to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software that might be utilized in the department
  • Must have good knowledge of business English, including spelling and punctuation
  • Must be able to prepare documents and compose business letters and memorandums.
  • Requires knowledge of office practices, procedures, and general office machines.
  • Experience with security equipment, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Ability to process and troubleshoot physical and technical issues with security equipment and processes.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Greater than 2 years of experience in banking or customer service. Experience working with bank security equipment and technology preferred.
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and coworkers; computer skills related to Microsoft office products

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

On the job training and any additional training as needed (i.e. MS Excel, MS CRM, Report Writing and Processing Program, General Ledger and Financial Reporting Program and Core Processing System). Required annual compliance training.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to remain seated or work standing in a confined area on a computer for a minimum of four (4) hours each workday
  • Must be able to constantly use hands and fingers to enter data through or on a computer or answer a phone throughout most of an eight (8) hour shift
  • Must be able to walk frequently throughout the day to obtain supplies from other areas in the Bank
  • Must be able to hear and communicate with coworkers and customers throughout the day
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds one to two times a day to perform job
  • Must be able to function in a professional, business office environment and act and dress appropriately, consistent with the Bank's grooming and dress codes
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with vendors and coworkers
  • Must be willing to function as a team member
  • Must be willing to demonstrate commitment to South State Bank's mission and goals

Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.
