Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 (DOE)

What You'll Be Doing as a Production Planner 2:
Plans and reviews Finite Production Schedules supporting the sales plan and development of inventory strategies, ordering parameters and inventory levels for components and finished goods. Performs data analysis, project management, research, and process re-engineering related to planning processes. Actively engages in continuous improvement activities.
- Manages load and capacity for assigned work centers. Plans and schedules workflow according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times for specific product lines.
- Works interdepartmentally to identify then resolve component shortages and manufacturing constraints.
- Oversees planning system activities to ensure effective functionality. Provides functional systems support to the Planning Team. Helps to develop priorities for system improvements and coordinate system changes.
- Ensures timely processing of engineering change orders with proper planning and disposition of manufactured parts. Expedites resources to ensure that schedules are met.
- Partners with Manufacturing to ensure that proper WIP inventory controls and procedures are in place and followed.
- Provides data analysis and maintains core material metrics.
- Assists in developing and implementing Lean Systems for manufactured and procured products including shortage root cause determination and resolution for specific products.
- Reviews, accurately reports, and maintains manufacturing part requirements and information.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on scheduling and capacity planning issues.
- Ensures item master integrity/data integrity, troubleshoots planning system challenges leading to improvement recommendations. Corrects errors and evaluates issues as appropriate.
- Coordinates and conducts training for curriculum specific to Planning, focusing on industry best practices and current business processes.
- Participates in projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience You'll Need as a Production Planner 2:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field preferred including 3 years of manufacturing or supply chain related experience. An equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
- Experience with Oracle ERP and/or Logility MRP systems strongly preferred.
- Functional understanding of discrete manufacturing, ERP planning functionality, and capacity planning.
- Has ability to compile, verify, and interpret data; develop and maintain database structures and file management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate future resources requirements to meet long term manufacturing objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform multiple and/or concurrent duties through self-initiated organization skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment for a Production Planner 2:
Work is performed in a normal office environment with exposure to the manufacturing environment.
