Overview

CAES Mission Systems, Woburn MA is seeking a motivated Product Engineer to work in a highly collaborative, growing electronics product development environment at the Woburn, MA facility. You will work closely with design engineering, test, management, and production teams to support the design, prototype, verification, and manufacturing of complex electronic products and test sets.

Disciplines considered for this position include, but are not limited to, electrical engineering, RF engineering, and system engineering. Ideal candidates will have multi-disciplinary capabilities with electronic systems overall.

This is a growth and development position for electrical engineers looking to gain experience and hone their skills.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our dynamic engineering team, you will help support mission-critical electronics. This will involve:
  • Provide engineering support to include, but not limited to:
    • Documentation Updates
    • Drawing Updates
    • Hardware Troubleshooting
    • Test Equipment Troubleshooting
    • DMS Analysis
    • Process Improvement
    • Corrective Actions
  • Diode component characterization for production sustainment
    • Testing
    • Data Processing
    • Procedure Updates / Maintenance
  • Interface with Engineering and Test Departments to develop plans to improve production, costs, and labor
  • Monitor production metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications

HOW TO SUCCEED

You combine a solid theoretical background in Electrical Engineering and/or RF & Microwave theory with creative and critical thinking. To join us you'll need:
Minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics equivalent and minimum 5 years' general engineering experience; or,
  • MSEE and minimum 3 years' general engineering experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience needs to be hands-on involvement with production/operations
  • In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license) as this role requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • BSEE and 8 years' experience or MSEE and 5 years' experience
  • Experience with production support related to Radar/EW systems
  • Experience with test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Power Meter, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Completes work/tasks on time
  • Familiar with MRP systems
  • Background in the aerospace & defense industry
  • Active DoD Security Clearance

Salary Range: $118,701.65 - $ 178,052.48 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
