Molex is seeking a Rotational Engineer/Associate BDM to join our Printed Circuits Solutions team in Naperville, IL!

We are preparing for growth in our Business Development areas. In our three-year Rotational Development Program this individual will spend a year within each role developing skills in a wide range of areas. These roles include a Costing Engineer, a Field Application Engineer, and an Associate Business Development Manager.

Our Team

Printed Circuits Solutions focuses on flexible circuit technology that serves a diverse customer base across consumer electronics, medical solutions, smart label and automotive applications. Our technical experts possess unique Printed Electronics (PE) and Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) industry experience, and we apply that knowledge to create value for our customers by supporting their needs and pushing printed electronics beyond the limits of conventional circuitry solutions.

What You Will Do

In our three-year Rotational Development Program this individual will spend a year within each role developing skills in a wide range of areas:

Cost Engineer
* Work closely with the entire organization with special focus on interfacing with Business Development managers, project managers, product design engineers, operations staff, procurement, and external suppliers to create product specific costing details.
* Prepare detailed product proposals which could include PowerPoint presentations, SOW (statement of work) documents, or detailed mechanical assembly drawings.
* Review cost estimates with our cross-functional team and business development managers to create quotations and proposals for our customers.
* Gain a thorough understanding of the design and manufacturing processes used to manufacture UI (user interface) or PE (printed electronic) assemblies.

Account Manager:

* Responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies to maintain existing business and identify opportunities. Must establish and maintain relationships with customers, working closely to provide support on design wins at end users & OEMs.
* Understand the business & market (applications, standards/regulations, drivers, and trends), the customers' organization, and desired business outcomes.

Coordinate with Molex's inside sales development team, senior management, and cross-functional project teams to plan for, win and execute on identified opportunities.

Support customer/internal account reviews.

Associate Business Development Manager:

* Partner up with one of our BDMs to start calling on new or existing accounts to handle the commercial side of the Molex PCS products.
* Translate the voice of the customer (VOC) into Molex PCS solutions.

Present our capabilities, preparing proposals, creating quotations, and selling our solutions to customers. Associate BDM's will work on all aspects of the commercial side of the business

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Minimum 1 year of experience in an Engineering-related role or rotational program
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
* Experience creating presentations and presenting to leadership
* Experience in engineering across plastic injection molded parts, silicone rubber parts, electrical components, and/or metal stamped parts
* Experience in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings and specifications
* Experience with Bills of Material for electrical and mechanical components

What Will Put You Ahead

* Ability to travel up to 30%
* Strong communication skills for interacting with various Suppliers, external Customers, Internal Operations workers, Business Development Managers, and management.

* Strong computer skills with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Ability to manage information from many sources & consolidate it into a concise message that can be shared with management and business development managers
* Aptitude for learning a broad range of topics which will be included in the Supplier communications such as plastic injection molded parts, silicone rubber parts, electrical components, and metal stamped parts.

For this role, we anticipate paying $90,000 - $110,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
