We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Leader to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for servicing milling and molding machines, as well as all auxiliary equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and performance. You will play a critical part in upholding standard operating and production procedures, prioritizing safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Department. Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive maintenance support across all areas of operation, focusing on both preventative and reactive maintenance efforts. You will also oversee building maintenance to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all staff members. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to facilitate efficient operations, smooth workflow, and exceptional quality output.

To excel in this position, you must possess a robust working knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, hydraulics, welding, HVAC, and boiler systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to excellence and operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Possess a strong maintenance ability and aptitude to control downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately to maximize equipment availability. Troubleshooting includes large hydraulic pumps and valves, motors, air compressors, hydraulic machine controls and the ability to read hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics.
* Monitor, inspect and service company equipment and machinery, including mechanical and electrical components.
* Perform preventive maintenance duties and the upkeep of maintenance records.
* Perform routine daily setup and adjustment of all production and auxiliary equipment.
* Complete changeovers on production lines by following changeover check sheet and recommend modification to the sheet.
* Capable of performing welding, small fabrication, and designs to correct root cause failures using maintenance shop instrumentation and equipment.
* Perform building and facilities repair and basic building maintenance.
* Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories and anticipating needs.
* Support, comply with, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safety procedures, safety protocols, and all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements including LOTO procedures.
* Inform supervisors and shift leaders of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherit dangers involved.
* Assist other personnel and contractors with technical troubleshooting and provide training to technical associates within the facility when necessary.
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrate autonomy - ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
* Detail-oriented - ability to pay attention to minute details of a task.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* This position will be predominantly assigned to the indicated shift but must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.

* Maintain punctual and regular attendance.

Required Qualifications
* High School graduate OR General Education Degree with a two-year technical degree OR accredited apprenticeship program OR four-year equivalent work-related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Must have the ability to respond to call ins, work weekends, and work overtime when necessary.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, procedures, technical manuals & drawings, and company policies.
* Demonstrated understanding of welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
* Ability and knowledge to safely operate forklifts, power tools, and hand tools.

* Physical Requirements including but not limited to: Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for up to 12 hours a day; occasionally climb stairs and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Frequent use of hands for grasping, twisting, lifting, handling, and carrying objects is required, along with reaching above shoulder height and below the waist. The role may involve frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, or laying. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jackets or aprons, and arm guards.

This role is part of the collective bargaining agreement and the starting minimum pay for this role is set at $25.00 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on your experience.
