TRIO Programs: The Upward Bound Project EDGE (Exploration and Determination Guarantees Excellence) program is designed to provide opportunities for fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The goal is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. Our goal is to recruit participants into the Upward Bound program, retain them, graduate them, and get them ready for post- secondary education, admittance and graduation. The Opportunity: UCF's TRIO Programs/Project EDGE seeks candidates for a part-time Academic Coach. The Academic Coach position works with Project EDGE (Edgewater High School) scholars in groups and one-on-one sessions to help students develop effective learning strategies and to become self-regulated learners that achieve academic success at Edgewater High School and virtually. This is a unique job opportunity for people who enjoy working with students and who have experience in advising, student services, public relations, and other student personnel services. They will work approximately 6 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and experience working with high school students or college freshmen or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Preferred Qualifications:
