UCF Online Connect Center:

The UCF Online Connect Center team works with students as advocates and guides throughout their fully online academic experience at UCF. Success coaches are available to help our students locate resources and create effective strategies to ensure success.

The Opportunity:

UCF Online Connect Center seeks applicants for our Student Coach IV position! The Student Coach IV will provide leadership, assistance, coordination, and support to the Success Coach team in the UCF Online Connect Center. This position works closely with and under the direct supervision of the Student Coach Manager.

Coaching professionals provide coaching, holistic support, and related student services. Student Coaching Professionals utilize coaching methodologies and case management strategies to provide comprehensive and personalized support that promotes students' self-advocacy, progress, and successful completion of educational goals.

This is an Auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:



  • Provides personal and transition support to students, including but not limited to new undergraduate students, transfer students, and graduate students.

  • Provides ongoing coaching and support to encourage students toward success, degree completion, and graduation.

  • Performs routine/scheduled coaching meetings. Conducts regular outreach to students.

  • Assist students in academic support and major/career exploration.

  • Serves as a resource for students to understand university policies and procedures.

  • Tracks students' progression through challenges/barriers that could impede retention and graduation initiatives.

  • Works collaboratively with academic colleges/departments and other resource areas and units to ensure timely referrals to support student success.

  • Targets outreach programming for various student populations and identifies additional support for these populations.

  • Work closely with campus stakeholders, especially academic advising colleges/departments.

  • Increased scope of responsibility within the university and/or coaching office/unit which may include complex programs, faculty support, curriculum management, technology systems, or other duties.

  • May function in a lead capacity with limited or no formal supervision duties. May train or mentor student assistants, peer coaches, and/or Student Coaches Level I-III.

  • Analyzes assessment and evaluation data and gauges the impact of programming and efforts.

  • Assists in developing and implementing coaching goals and strategies within the unit and/or the university level.




Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 2+ years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience working at an institution of higher education.

  • Experience leading projects and mentoring junior colleagues.

  • Experience as a student coach; Demonstrated advanced understanding and utilization of coaching methodologies, and able to function autonomously as a student coach for relevant programs and/or student populations.

  • Previous experience in Salesforce or a similar CRM system.

  • Master's Degree.

  • Experience analyzing assessment and evaluation data to assess the effectiveness and impact of programs and initiatives.

The Online Connect Center's operating hours are Monday-Friday: 7:00 am-7:00 pm; Saturday: 10:00 am-2:00 pm. The selected candidates will work 40 hours per week within the operating hours, including at least one late shift per week (9:00 am-6:00 pm or 10:00 am-7:00 pm). This is a hybrid role, and employees are required to work in-office at least two days per week. Hybrid work is based on workload, university policy, and supervisor approval.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $42,367 to Negotiable. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
