A Mobile Crushing Loader Operator is responsible for handling materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the mobile crushing equipment. Here are the key responsibilities:
1. Equipment Operation
- Operate a front-end loader to move and load raw materials (aggregates, sand, etc.) into stockpiles.
- Ensure proper material blending and supply to maintain consistent asphalt production.
- Use other heavy equipment (such as skid steers or dozers) if required.
2. Plant Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Perform routine maintenance on the loader (e.g., checking fluids, greasing parts, and monitoring wear).
- Inspect and maintain stockpiles to prevent contamination or material segregation.
- Keep the worksite, plant area, and equipment clean and free from debris.
3. Material Handling & Quality Control
- Monitor stockpiles and ensure materials meet production requirements.
- Report any material shortages or quality issues to supervisors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat, and humidity
- Comfortable working at elevated heights
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and overtime as needed
- Works well independently and remains motivated without close monitoring
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work Environment: Position primarily works inside operator control room, but must be able to routinely work outdoors, including occasional night work, with exposure to uneven terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
- Proximity Hazards: Must be alert and able to work safely near heavy mobile equipment.
- Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb on and off of mobile equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily. Must also be able to climb stairs and ladders at heights up to 100 feet.
- Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.
- Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
- Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
- Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground.
- Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
