Position Summary:

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Manager will be a strategic partner to identify, lead and implement initiatives that foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture. This role will drive strategy and implement initiatives to deliver meaningful changes across the organization, so all employees feel welcome and able to bring diversity of thought as well as celebrate personal and professional experiences.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • In conjunction with leadership, the Manager will enhance the organization's competitive position and utilize relevant data as well as market trends to implement a DEIB strategy focused on talent, culture, and community.
  • Draw meaningful insights from data to recommend strategies, create narratives, and ultimately push solutions forward providing and owning insights and action plans to leadership.
  • Advocate, champion and advise all levels of employees, partnering with the HR Business Partners on DEIB related topics while also working to embed DEIB into the everyday culture of the organization.
  • Design and deliver DEIB education for colleagues to drive greater equity, inclusion, understanding and belonging.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Marketing, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development to build and progress inclusive HR practices, highlighting employer branding, attracting talent, and advancing career development.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local organizations, educational institutions, and advocacy groups to enhance DEIB initiatives and build both workforce and community capability.
  • Lead all HR internal communications, in partnership with the Marketing team, including DEIB related content.
  • Create, execute, and sustain an annual DEIB calendar that highlights a diverse range of topics, well-being events and holidays.
  • Build relationships across all functional areas including taking a supportive role in our DEIB Advisory Council and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Spearhead employee engagement initiatives include driving the Gallup Q12 engagement survey process, developing a comprehensive timeline for manager action planning and provide consistent follow-up to ensure the integration of engagement topics into the Everwise culture.
  • Create new connections as well as leverage existing relationships with other organizations, key figures, and thought leaders in the DEI landscape
  • Responsible for maintaining and sharing knowledge of diversity related issues, legislation and leading practices
  • Responsible for providing DEIB policy updates, internal and external communications and review of practices to ensure alignment with DEIB strategy
  • Lead and/or participate in projects that positively impact the employee workplace experience
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Strategic Orientation, the ability to develop and implement strategy that results in successful innovative solutions
  • Highly effective critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional EQ, blended with an analytic approach and skill in leveraging data to drive decisions and narratives
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, change management, and project management skills
  • Presence and influence - the ability to plan and facilitate a coaching session and training meetings centered around sensitive topics
  • Self-starter, resilient attitude with an ability to work cross-functionally and understand the mission and values of Everwise
  • Capable and eager to execute both strategically and tactically
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational behavior, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years' relevant human resources experience, preferably working in a HR Business Partner capacity
  • 3+ years' experience in developing, implementing and administering diversity strategies and programs
  • Ability to travel as required, including willingness to attend community events, which may take place outside of traditional working hours
