There are three positions available, with one position being located within each of the following areas: Department of Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, and Biological & Environmental Engineering: These positions will have time dedicated across the four departments and will report to Alan Joffrey within the Department of Food Science. Department of Natural Resources and Global Development: This position will report to Adrienne Mason. Department of Contracts and Financial Compliance: This position will report to Jennifer Austin and will provide college-wide financial support as well as supporting the college contracting process. What You Will Do As the Accounts Representative IV duties include providing financial services to the department including account management, grant and contract management, college reporting, accountability for funds management, and backup proposal support. In conjunction with department administrative managers (AM), make appropriate judgments about financial activities ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures and external regulations. Specifically, within the department assist with the establishment, monitoring, and projection of annual department budgets; establish, monitor and report on unrestricted, gift, and endowment accounts. Provide post-award sponsored research administration including oversight to the set up and close out of accounts, salary planning and monitoring of effort distribution, cost share, subcontracts, compliance with sponsor and university policies, liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and Sponsored Financial Services (SFS). Establish close working relationship(s) with administrative managers (AM), faculty, and staff. Establish and maintain close working relationships with the Shared Services Center (SSC) and other finance staff in the college. Work within a team environment to provide the most efficient and streamlined processes for the department(s) and the college. Obtain sponsored programs research administration certificate training and stay updated on changes in University policies and procedures as they relate to financial processes. Work in partnership with Graduate Field Assistant (GFA) to track graduate student funding and appointments. In conjunction with department manager and Chairs Assistant, confirm funding source for appointments and extensions of academic, non-academic and temporary staff. Identify and recommend college best practice and processes. Actively pursue continuous learning and specialized training in key functional areas to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
