POSITION SUMMARY: Main point of contact with internal inspectors and operators to support product quality. Prepares, revise, implements, and trains internal team related to Quality Systems. The Quality Technician will focus on meeting company goals and objectives that align with reducing internal and customer complaints and increasing customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Perform Firewall Containment on Product
  • Process Audit Critical Characteristics
  • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Accurately document inspection and test results in quality records, databases, or ERP systems.
  • Train Quality Inspectors
  • Train Operators on Quality Systems
  • Work with Quality Engineers to facilitate internal concerns review to drive timely root cause analysis and permanent corrective action.
  • Supports manufacturing with product and process problem-solving as needed.
  • Participates in product launch to assist Manufacturing and Applications Engineering to ensure successful transition to manufacturing team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 4+ years of experience in quality manufacturing systems.
  • 4+ years of experience in quality inspection methods.
  • Understanding and ability to perform quality systems process audits.
  • Experience using measurement devices for product measurement.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to use various computer applications and software.
  • Ability to work with others jointly to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving and investigation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents related to products, testing and standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office and manufacturing environment (as needed) that may include heat, humidity, dust, and noise.
  • Extended work hours and weekends periodically required.
  • Ability to lift transportation seating items such as seats, seat frames, plastic seat modules, boxes, and barrier panels up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent keyboarding is required.
  • Work frequently requires attention to details. Frequent pressures related to meeting deadlines, scheduling requirements and simultaneous projects is required. Work is frequently affected by distracting influences such as people, calls, etc.
