Apply now Production Mechanical Technician Date: 20 Jan 2025 Location: Bristol, GB Job Function: Operations Business Unit: Plasma Technology At Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology, we provide tools for the engineering of micro- and nano-structures, with customers using our process solutions to research and produce materials and semiconductors vital for everything from medical devices and diagnostics, to electric cars and quantum computers. The Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Production team and work on the assembly build of high-tech, cutting edge products in Severn Beach, Bristol. You will provide expertise in support of the Team Leader to achieve the smooth running of the build cell. Ensure the technical development of the skills of technicians.You will get to develop new capabilities and work on some of our most complex system configurations. For this role you will need a strong engineering background and a high level of technical skills and knowledge. You will be employed to work on a rotating shift pattern. Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours and one of 5 hours. Currently the shifts are Early (starting at 06:00hrs) and Afternoon (starting at 14:00hrs). Key Responsibilities:
