JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Brandywine Campus Library (in Media, PA - outside of Philadelphia) is seeking a Part-Time Library Support Staff position for 20 hours per week. This is not a federal work study position. The selected candidate will work four weekdays, covering the opening (8:30am) shift of the library. Duties Include
The candidate should possess good computer skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to work independently. Candidates must possess a commitment to working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, respect, and inclusion, and be supportive of a collaborative work environment. Successful applicants must be dependable, flexible, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service to library visitors. Previous library or public service experience is preferred. CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
