Description

Ricardo Defense Inc, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist in our Troy, MI office to join our high performing team.

This Senior Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in the success of the organization by providing assistance on recruitment, benefits, performance management, employee relations and Human Resources best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between Human Resources and employees.

This position will be primarily at our Troy, MI office location with some remote work allowed. Only candidates local to Troy, MI will be considered for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a member of the Human Resources Team you will assist or be primary person responsible for the following:

  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Facilitate open enrollment, changes, QLE and training for employee benefits programs.
  • Review and approve monthly benefit invoices
  • Enter employee benefit information into carrier sites and work with benefit provider/broker regarding member claim inquiries and interpretation of benefit policies.
  • Respond to Human Resources related inquiries.
  • Create and distribute internal communications regarding new hires, status changes, open positions, benefits, or company policies.
  • Maintain and update organization charts.
  • Prepare reports for EEOC and AAP.
  • Manage monthly headcount reports for Finance.
  • Manage the organization's HRIS database (Paylocity) and prepare reports.
  • Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
  • Complete all Human Resource tasks related to new hires i.e. background checks, drug screenings, I-9 verification, new hire trainings, etc.
  • Develop and maintain new employee 30- & 90-day surveys.
  • Monitor employee morale and company culture.
  • Undertake tasks relating to performance management. Provide assistance with setting goals and objectives in Paylocity.
  • Assist with preparing merit planning letters for all employees.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful Human Resources metrics, such as time to hire, years of service and employee turnover rates.
  • Assist with employee relation issues.
  • Organize quarterly and annual employee events.
  • Manage employee service award program
  • Manage wellness program.
  • Assist with other Human Resources projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Minimum of five to Seven years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Expertise in Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity.
  • Understanding of Human Resources best practices and current regulations.
  • Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have a high ethical standard.
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite and Teams.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Government Secret Clearance if required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
