Senior Civil 3D Designer

Join Advantage Resourcing, in partnership with a leading engineering company, as a Senior Civil 3D Designer in Alexandria, LA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead design projects related to site infrastructure development, grading, drainage, utilities, and more.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $16 - $40/hr, based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Lead civil engineering design projects, focusing on site drainage, grading, and infrastructure constraints
• Develop, modify, and review models, plans, and drawings using advanced Civil 3D functionality and CAD standards
• Coordinate with engineers, designers, and sub-consultants to ensure successful project completion
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices
• Review and approve design elements and project deliverables before release
• Monitor project schedules and budgets, working closely with the Project Manager to meet deadlines
• Analyze and resolve technical project issues with minimal oversight
• Stay up-to-date on regulations from local, state, and federal agencies and apply them to projects
• Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all business interactions

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• 10+ years of experience in CAD and Civil 3D software, with at least 5 years in detailed land development engineering
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
