Overview

This position offers the opportunity to repair Customer & In-house Waters LC/MS Instrumentation. You'll expand your overall knowledge of Waters instrumentation.



Responsibilities

    Primary duties include the timely analysis and repair of a broad array of instrumentation and related assemblies necessary for the department to meet customer satisfaction and quality goals while assisting in other duties as directed by department manager.
  • Assist in determining root cause analysis and communicating opportunities for corrective action for problems identified in instruments, assemblies, processes, tooling, and material.
  • Process instruments and returns through computerized data collection and material movements as necessary to facilitate the return of material to current specifications and return to customers or inventory.
  • Assist in reviewing and/or updating documentation for processes and repair equipment.
  • Perform routine measurements using standard measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc) as needed as part of the repair and refurbishment processes.
  • Gather, correlate and assist in analyzing process/product quality data.
  • Develop, perform, and/or assist in preventative maintenance and calibration of department equipment.
  • Assist in analysis and reporting of returned goods (startup failures, warranty, etc).
  • Assist in the training of department personnel in the analysis and repair of various instruments and assemblies.
  • Provide support and ongoing execution within a strong 5S system within the Warranty & Repair process.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications to include one of the following:

  • Associate's degree in Electro/Mechanical with 2 years experience.
  • High School education with 4 years experience or equivalent analyzing electro-mechanical and/or optical instrumentation or assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret documentation (procedures, process sheets, drawings, etc).
  • Basic chemical knowledge, preparation and usage skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills relating to processing of instrumentation, data collection, and reporting.
  • Effective communication working with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in both and individual and team environment.
