As Petco Sr. Financial Analyst, you would be responsible for assisting in preparation of the monthly forecast and annual budget for Retail Media Network, supporting the Petco leadership team, as well as providing regular and ad hoc analyses for the Petco organization.

This role will work closely with key members of several teams on various facets of the company to devise strategic solutions to unique business problems. The individual will assist in financial analysis, modeling, and evaluation to keep the business on track to meet its financial goals. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who is detail-oriented, technically capable, holds a desire to solve problems and efficiently delivers a quality work product in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

This position will report to the Finance Manager, Digital.

Responsibilities:

• Build partnerships with the Vice President of Retail Media Network to provide planning and analysis support to ensure the teams are on track to deliver its financial goals for onsite and offsite advertising revenue.
• Assist with preparation of weekly and monthly reporting for the Digital business.
• Identify and help implement opportunities to leverage financial systems in ways that will provide visibility and transparency to business leaders to track against financial targets.
• Proactively provide value-added feedback to improve current processes from both an operational and strategic viewpoint.
• Interface with the business leads to confirm assumptions used for budgeting and forecasting.
• Assist the Accounting department with the coding of invoices.

Required Skills:

A minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience operating in a highly analytical FP&A or business finance role, preferably in eCommerce, as well as:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Basic Accounting knowledge.
• Passion to continuously provide exceptional customer service to all internal business partners.
• Demonstrated expertise in leveraging financial systems to empower an organization to efficiently plan and monitor financial performance.
• Self-starter and ability to manage projects independently.
• Great interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for innovation and using technology to drive efficiency.
• Track record of success to drive process improvements.
• Be extremely analytical and quantitative and comfortable building advanced spreadsheet models.
• Very detail oriented, with strong organization skills with the ability to maintain and keep track of multiple information sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills).
