At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. Excelitas is currently seeking a Business Unit Manager for our UV-Curing segment. This person will oversee the entire business unit, which consists of multiple product lines, such as LED, Microwave and Omnicure. They will beresponsible for the overall UV-Curing strategy, profitability, and operational efficiency of the business unit. This person must be able to balance priorities across according product lines, setting goals and allocating resources accordingly.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute business strategies: Develop long-term plans across according product line, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Market positioning: Identify growth opportunities, competitive advantages, and areas for differentiation for the combined product portfolio as well as across the product lines, especially in matter of active management of LED transition.
- Resource allocation: Prioritize investments and resources (human, financial, technological) to maximize profitability for all three product lines.
- Portfolio management: Oversee the lifecycle of each product line, optimizing how product lines interact to provide greater customer solutions. Activities to include launches, growth, maturity, and phase-out stages.
- Operational Management
- Budget oversight: Prepare, manage, and track budgets for each product line, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial goals.
- Performance monitoring: Track key performance indicators such as BBB (Bookings, Billings, Backlog), profitability, and market share for each product line.
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate risks related to market changes, supply disruptions, or operational inefficiencies.
- Team Leadership
- Team management: Lead cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, R&D, operations) dedicated to the product lines.
- Training and development: Mentor team members, providing opportunities for professional growth and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaboration: Act as a liaison between product teams, corporate leadership, and external stakeholders.
- Performance reviews: Set and evaluate performance objectives for team members, aligning their contributions with business goals.
- Customer and Market Focus
- Customer relationship management: Build strong relationships with key customers and ensure high satisfaction levels across product lines.
- Market analysis: Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Application Focus: Work with industry experts and complimentary technologies (formulators) to find growth areas for new and existing products
- Demonstrate Expertise: Utilize global demonstration labs, industry talks, articles and presentations to promote Excelitas expertise across multiple curing technologies
- Feedback integration: Use customer and market insights to refine product offerings and develop innovative solutions.
- Product-Specific Responsibilities
- Product development: Collaborate with R&D and product line managers to develop product roadmaps integrated across multiple product lines to provide a comprehensive portfolio of solutions tailored to market demands.
- Pricing strategy: Set pricing policies for each product line, balancing competitiveness with profitability.
- Sales enablement: Work closely with sales teams to create effective sales strategies, tools, and training for each product.
- Marketing oversight: Coordinate marketing efforts, including tradeshows, campaigns, promotions, and branding strategies for all product lines.
