At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. CPCCo is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to join our Team to perform the following job duties and responsibilities:
* Provide QA Engineer support to CPCCo Projects.
* Perform inspection and oversight of work activities using basic, mechanical and welding level II inspection disciplines.
* Develop, review and approve documents and procedures implementing the CPCCo QA Program to assure QA requirements are integrated into project work planning, procurement, and assurance of performance. These are to include commercial grade dedications and product Quality Assurance Inspection Plans.
* Perform QA surveillances, assessments, audits, and reviews to determine compliance with and effective implementation of the CPCCo QA Program.
* Provide expert QA/QC guidance and problem-solving expertise as requested to resolve and prevent quality problems.
* Perform contract and contractor oversight activities.


Basic Qualifications


* Intermediate Level Grade 17: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 4 or more years of relevant experience.
* Career Level Grade 18: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 6 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Proficient in the use of computer-based procurement and work control systems.
* Prior experience and knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication methods.
* Prior inspection certifications for basic, mechanical and welding.
* Experience in supporting nuclear facility construction.
* Experience performing project document reviews, surveillances, and audits.
* Experience and knowledge of software quality assurance.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on 40 hours per week:

* Intermediate Level Grade 17: $96,938- $122,113

* Career Level Grade 18: $106,663 - $134,588

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
