Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Production Manager for the Stern Studio. The selected candidate will manage, maintain, produce and expand the services offered by the Stern Studio. They will advise faculty and students on full-cycle production and post-production activities, including making recommendations on design, style, and editing to ensure world-class quality. The selected candidate will facilitate live uplink/broadcast, synchronous and asynchronous productions filming, and full post-production, supervise student employees within the Stern Studio, and serve as resource expert to faculty and students on production recommendations and Stern Studio technologies.



Qualifications

The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Film/TV Production or a related field and at least 2 years of demonstrated experience in relevant production, studio, and post-production; operating aspects of audio and video production technologies, for recording and exhibition; maintaining and operating multimedia equipment, video/data projection systems, and surround sound audio systems; production and post-production workflow; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency with a variety of editing software, comfort with audio and color correction and lighting and rigging for a variety of production scenarios and experience with a range of cameras, from 5Ds to higher end models is required. Knowledge of video compression, codecs, formats, etc., demonstrated client interaction experience, ability to work at least 1-2 evenings / week and occasional weekends, desire and ability to take on key responsibilities in an ever- changing environment, and an ability to learn quickly are also required. On occasion, the incumbent will be required to handle, lift and maneuver cameras and equipment to and from a production shoot assignment.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,150.00 to USD $83,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
