Our client is seeking an AP Supervisor for a business unit. This role includesmanaging daily AP operations, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership, accounts payable processes, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor AP staff, providing training and performance feedback.
  • Implement and maintain AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Review and approve invoices, payment runs, and reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Track key performance metrics and provide reports on AP efficiency and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of 1099s and adherence to tax reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle special projects and other duties assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role within accounts payable.
  • Strong knowledge of AP laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and create a motivating work environment.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to process improvements and team development.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
