DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will supervise, manage, and direct activities in state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. You will supervise a shift, participating in a variety of sales activities including receiving shipments, stocking products, and provide excellent service to all customers in a clean and safe store environment.
Throughout operations, you will assign and inspect the work of Liquor Store employees and instruct employees in the proper application of policies and procedures. Assistant Managers assist General Managers, who are accountable for the entire store operation which includes sales, store maintenance, merchandise and cash accounting, maintenance of records and all related functions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 75 hours biweekly.
- Work hours vary between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2; or
- Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk; or
- One year of lead retail sales work.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
