Position Summary With minimum supervision, responsible for any combination of calculating, posting and verifying of accounting data of a complex nature exercising independent judgement in one or more of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Payroll/Labor, Accounts Receivable and Billing. Responsibilities Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Process accounts payable transactions, research discrepancies, communicate with suppliers on issues and payment status. Process weekly payroll, reconcile timecard hours with various reports and process pay adjustments and deductions. Process monthly journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Assist with accounts receivable collections and sales adjustments. Investigate questionable data and take corrective action when necessary. Interface with functional departments, management, vendors and customers. Perform other related responsibilities. Two years college accounting or equivalent professional coursework preferred. Prior computer experience (Microsoft Office products) and data entry required. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.
